Jake, better known as the "Jakester" loves hockey and is a huge fan of the Colorado Avalanche. It became necessary to amputate his right leg at the hip joint due to the continued growth of fibromas (tumors) there. He handled the surgery with great courage. Jake is active on his sled hockey team in Colorado. He is also an expert X-box video game player.
